MESSAGE FROM INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

MESSAGE TO DISTRICT 80 SEMI ANNUAL CONVENTION

Dear Governor Kim Siong and members in District 80,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my honor to convey sincere greetings to all the members in District 80 participating at the 2006 Semi Annual Convention in Macau.

Effective Communication and leadership had been the leading criteria to enable an executive’s “ promotable “ in a corporate body. ( Harvard Business Review, Jan- Feb issue 1964) And Stanford University’s 20 years study on graduate’s success had a shared personality traits of being an effective communicator and leadership.

The findings from the two renowned institutions had shown that one need to have effective communication and leadership to strive in the corporate world.

Most successful people recognize the role communication skills have played in their career and business. A survey conducted by World Future Society revealed an executive spent 45 minutes out of every hour communicating.

Toastmasters provides the training to enable one to become more effective communicator and able leader. Please position Toastmasters in people’s path to success.

Please inspire more people in the community to gain benefits that we provide in our organization. Our brand name of effective communication and leadership development need to be recognized by all the citizens, not only in Macau, but throughout District 80.

When you inspire more people to join Toastmasters, you have provided an amazing service to the community.
